SUMMARY:2025 WARM NC Gala: Fire & Ice
DESCRIPTION:The gala is WARM NC’s biggest fundraising event each year. 250 attendees come together for food\, drinks\, dancing\, and fun! The event includes interactive elements as well as a live and silent auction. \nYour sponsorship or ticket purchase means we’ll be able to continue to serve the 300+ families who are on our waiting list. \nThese families have to decide if they’re going to put food on the table or fix that soft spot in the floor. They have to decide between paying the electric bill or taking care of that leaking faucet. Faced with those types of decisions\, the house is going to lose every single time. \nYour ticket purchase or sponsorship makes it possible for us to take care of that soft spot in the floor and fix that leaking faucet\, or whatever repairs are needed to make a family safe at home again.

SUMMARY:Cameron Art Museum - CAM After Dark: Conversation with the Collectors\, Onay Gutierrez and Jeffrey Childers
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging evening of art and conversation as CAM Executive Director Heather Wilson sits down with collectors Onay Gutierrez and Jeffrey Childers. Together\, they’ll share the story behind their remarkable journey in collecting contemporary art and the deeply personal connections that have shaped We Belong Here: The Gutierrez Collection. \nOver the past decade\, Onay and Jeffrey have built meaningful relationships with artists and gallerists\, beginning with North Carolina ceramicists and expanding to global voices\, especially from the African diaspora. Their collection is a vibrant celebration of culture\, identity\, and the shared stories that unite us all. \nDiscover how their collection has evolved\, what inspired their passion for collecting\, and why it’s so important for them to share these works with a wider audience. For Onay and Jeffrey\, art is more than visual—it’s a conduit for connection. Their hope is that every visitor finds something that resonates personally\, affirming that we all belong here. \nRegister HERE

In the exhibition\, artists with disabilities claim their voices and command space through visual\, experiential\, and often experimental artwork. The work in this exhibition offers glimpses into the world of each artist and engages the viewer in conversation about what it means to navigate a landscape of access and ability. \nGuest Curator: Aaron Wilcox
